National AI Diagnostic Model: In April 2026, the China Animal Disease Prevention and Control Center released the "Wuji" (Limitless) intelligent diagnostic model for animal diseases, capable of identifying more than 670 livestock and poultry diseases. It simultaneously launched the "Veterinary Smart Care" AI farming assistant, putting professional veterinary services right into the pockets of farmers and ranchers.

AI Safeguarding Animal Health: A breeding base in Hainan has introduced an AI-assisted diagnostic system, where researchers help enterprises build an animal-disease AI framework, enabling special-breeding enterprises such as parrot farms to conduct on-site detection of common diseases without relying on external testing.

AI in Pet Medical Imaging: Progress has also been made in AI research for pet healthcare. In July 2026, a study was published in an authoritative veterinary imaging journal; the AI algorithm has begun to be applied to intelligent identification of lung diseases in dogs and cats, assisting veterinarians in diagnosis.
